The Minister of Immigration and Asylum Thanos Plevris announced the tightening of the NGO funding framework operating in migratory.
Thanos Plevris, answering a written question by Niki President Dimitris Natsiou, gave the amounts given to NGOs active in migration in Greece.
According to the document, the total amount of NGO funding from the EEA 2014-2021 funding mechanism is EUR 16,670,162.92 and from donations and contributions abroad EUR 50,099.82.
In total, NGOs from the Fund programs are said to have received amounts exceeding 175 million euros.
According to the document, the NGOs are funded by the 2014-2020 and 2021-2027 migration funds and by the European Commission directly, by the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 by donations and contributions abroad, as well as from the Ministry of Migration and 2025.
