I’m going for a ride.’ He agreed to meet us in the villa of our friends.
I gave him the bottle with my water and, in his somewhat eccentric way, he took an umbrella to protect against the sun. It was 1:30 pm And he was given instructions on where to walk. “
He even described their last goodbye: “It was a common exchange of reasons as he left for his walk. Very common. I don’t think there was a kiss. “
“He started at a good pace, with the backpack on the back, climbing a steep hill. He had not taken his phone because he did not want to risk getting on the boat. “
Dr. Bailey Mosley returned to the villa with their friends after a delightful afternoon on the beach, but began to worry about where her husband had gone.
“Feeling something was not going well, we went to the police station and declared his disappearance. Police said: “We can do nothing until 48 hours are over.” I replied, “What, with this heat?” It was 40 points, the hottest day of the last decades. “
After pushing them hard, they agreed to send a local search and rescue team.

Then, Four days after his disappearance, his corpse was found.
The mayor of the island and a British television team was on a boat on June 9, when he was just a few meters away from the beach bar in Agia Marina.

Claire described her husband as “unconventional and a little risky”.
“He was unconventional, intelligent, a little risky – and that made him special. I loved him for it, he made him so special. He was unorthodox and just so brilliant. His death matched his life. “
