The country’s course
The overwhelming percentage of citizens believes that the country is moving in the wrong direction as a whole. Specifically, 70% of respondents believe this, while 25% think they are moving towards the right one.
In relation to 2024
Regarding their personal situation, the majority of citizens say they are about the same level as last year (37%), while 49% reported that their situation has worsened and only 14% think they are in a better position.
However, the majority of respondents (52%) still support the promotion of EU economic and political integration.
However, a significant percentage (30%) disagree and insists that the EU should be dissolved. It is noteworthy that this position to dismantle the EU is more intense in citizens who identify themselves as “left” and “right”, underlining a converging Euroscepticism at the ends of the political spectrum.
Precision, this scourge
According to the poll, accuracy and the general financial situation are the main sources of social discontent, gaining the highest rate of negative views (27% for each sector). Following is the institutions crisis, which also records a significant proportion of dissatisfaction (10%).
In this context, it is not surprising to firm the index of financial confidence. This indicator, which captures the average evaluation of the current financial situation and forecasts for the future, has been steadily retreating in recent months.
Negative evaluations in government image
The economy records the highest rate of negative crises, with over eight in ten citizens expressing dissatisfaction. Opinions on democracy and institutions are also significant, where three in four citizens have a negative view. Correspondingly, everyday issues receive negative evaluations from almost three -quarters of respondents.
A partial differentiation is observed in foreign policy and defense. Although in these areas, negative opinions outperform (51%), a significant percentage of positive views (31%) are recorded, indicating a more divided image compared to other areas.
Prime Minister’s evaluation
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is no different from the general negative image recorded for the government, according to the results of the recent poll.
The majority of respondents (68%) express a negative opinion on the prime minister, while only 27% have a positive view. Despite the slight improvement that is observed compared to the previous poll, the overall picture remains negative, suggesting that citizens’ dissatisfaction has not fallen significantly.
The prime minister’s most positive acceptance is found in citizens who identify themselves as “center -right”. The following, with a smaller but significant percentage, are the “right” voters. In addition, a portion of “center” citizens also expresses positive opinion, though to a lesser extent.
“Black” in PASOK and Androulakis
Despite the strong dissatisfaction with the government for the government, Metron Analysis’s poll reveals an even more negative climate for PASOK and Nikos Androulakis as an official opposition.
The majority of citizens (83%) express negative opinion on how PASOK is politically politicized, while positive opinions are limited to a very small percentage (9%), which is even lower than current electoral forecasts for the party. This indicates a deep crisis in PASOK’s opposition image.
The poll records an ever -aggravated picture of Nikos Androulakis personally.
Negative opinions on how he performs his duties as leader of the opposition are significantly increased, reaching 79%. At the same time, the percentage of citizens who have a positive view of Nikos Androulakis falls to 12%, indicating a growing resentment to his face.
O Popular Political Leader
Zoe Konstantopoulou is still more popular, although her percentage has decreased compared to the previous measurement. Dimitris Koutsoubas maintains second place with a fixed rate.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis shows a slight improvement in his popularity, while Socrates Famelos moves at the same level as previous research. On the contrary, Nikos Androulakis records one of the lowest popularity rates of the latest research.
The intention of voting
The New Democracy is marginally increasing its percentages. In the intention of voting it has 20.9% increased by almost a percentage point, with the navigation of freedom being second with 11.5%.
At the same time, PASOK fell to a single -digit percentage after it ranks 9.6%. Following is the Greek solution with 7.9%, the KKE with 6.3%and SYRIZA with 5.4%. The unclear vote is at 12.5%.
The voting estimate
In the vote estimate things are similar. The New Democracy has a clear lead with 27%, followed by 15% of freedom navigation and PASOK is third with 12.5%. The Greek solution is also 10.4%and followed by KKE (8.3%) and SYRIZA (6.9%). At the limit for entering the House is the voice of logic.
About early elections
Regarding the possibility of early elections, the Metron Analysis poll shows a shift to public opinion. The strong demand for immediate elections seems to be receding, while the opinion of elections is being reinforced at the end of the current government’s term, now reaching 50%.
The dividing line in the answer of this question seems to follow the “left-right” political axis. The most ardent supporters of the opinion to avoid early elections are mainly found in the center -right.
O Trub and US duties
The investigation also reflects the perception of Greek citizens of the new US president. The majority (67%) express negative views, while only 24% have a positive opinion. Interestingly, positive opinion is increasing as citizens are more right in the political spectrum, while negative opinions are reduced.
Regarding the duties announced by the Trump government on European products, the poll shows that the majority of citizens believe they will have a significant impact. Specifically, 16% estimate that the effects will be very large and 47% large. It is noteworthy that the left and center -left voters appear more anxious for the possible impact compared to the center -right and right.
Can the European Union?
Regarding the European Union, the majority of respondents (55%) say they have a negative opinion on the EU, while only a smaller percentage (39%) express a positive view.
Interesting is the distribution of views according to political positioning. Euroscepticism seems to be more intense in citizens who identify themselves as left and right. The situation is improving in intermediate political positions, however, only among those who declare centrals there is a slight superiority of the positive views on the EU.
Inside and outside the castle
The Metron Analysis poll also reflects citizens’ feelings about social security and inclusion. Specifically, 53% said they felt “out of the castle”, while 45% say they were “inside the castle”.
The working class shows the highest percentage of a sense of exclusion, as eight out of ten workers feel “out of the walls”.
Following are the farmers, with about seven in ten sharing this feeling. Also noteworthy is the percentage of small and medium -sized entrepreneurs who feel socially cut off, as almost two -thirds of them express similar concerns.
The New Democracy is emerging as the party that is primarily preferred by those who feel “within the walls” of society.
On the contrary, SYRIZA and PASOK seem to have a social basis that is more evenly distributed among those who feel integrated and those who feel excluded.
Finally, the KKE, the Greek solution and the cruise freedom have a clearly greater influence among those who feel “outside the walls”, possibly indicating different approaches or concerns of these social groups.
