The new traffic regulations on Line 2 came into force tonight, Tuesday, November 11 Measurewith three stations to now close earlier in the evenings.
Specifically, the Metro stations “Neos Kosmos”, “Agios Ioannis” and “Dafni” were closed from 21:40 tonight. These hours (closing at 21:40) will apply from Sunday to Thursday and the arrangements will last until December 12.
These changes are due to the start of technical work for the replacement of rails in the “Dafni – Neos Kosmos” section.
Throughout the works (Sunday to Thursday, after 21:40), traffic on Line 2 “Anthoupoli – Elliniko” is carried out in two separate sections:
- “Hellenic – Agios Dimitrios”
- “Anthoupoli – Syngrou Fix”
To serve the passenger public in the section where the traffic was interrupted, the OASA routed the temporary, circular bus line X13 “Fix – Ag. Dimitrios”.
This line serves the closed “Neos Kosmos”, “Agios Ioannis” and “Dafni” stations, starting and ending at the specially designed area of the “Sygrou Fix” Metro station (on Syngrou Avenue, next to the Museum of Contemporary Art).
According to STA.SY, alongside the rail replacement work, work will also be carried out for the installation of a 5G network in the same places.
