Mercedes CLA engines

At the beginning of December, we informed you about the 4MATIC four-wheel drive system of the new CLA, the compact 4-door coupe from Mercedes. Now we’ve also learned the engine versions of the ‘baby CLS’, a month ahead of its expected premiere at the Detroit show (we’ll be there!).

The basic petrol engine is the 1.6 with 122 PS for the CLA 180 BlueEFFICIENCY. It is followed by the version with 156 PS for the CLA 200, while at the top there will be the 2 liter – with a power of 211 PS – for the CLA 250.

The 2.2 diesel will also be available, producing 170 PS, to equip the CLA 220 CDI.

Towards the end of 2013, the range will be enriched with the same engine but in the 136 PS version (for the CLA 200 CDI), while the four-wheel drive CLA 250 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY will also be launched in combination with the 2.0 of 211 PS.
