The announcement for Matthias Lesor
“Matthias Lesor (2.06 m, 29 years old, 44 entries) will not be able to participate in the Eurobasket 2025. In the list of 18 default players is replaced by Joan Makoudou (2.07m, 24 years old, 13 entries).
After being fractured on the left foot on December 19, Matthias Lesor returned briefly during the EuroLeague Final Four on May 25, before being out of action during the Greek playoffs. Included in the default announced on June 27 by Frederick Fato, the Panathinaikos center continued to be watched jointly by the doctors of his club and those of the French national team.
This follow -up confirmed that his participation in the preparation for the Eurobasket 2025, which will begin in late July, would be premature. The French team’s staff, in agreement with Panathinaikos and the player, has therefore ruled out his participation in the event.
Matthias Lesor was replaced by Ioannis Makundu. “
