Matina Pagoni: We failed in the coronavirus vaccination – There will be changes in the measures

The assessment that something went wrong in the design of the vaccination program against him coronavirus made the president of the Association of Doctors of Athens and Piraeus, Matina Pagoni. Speaking to Open, Ms. Pagoni said that there will be changes in the new measures for vaccinated and unvaccinated and especially for children.

Specifically, talking about the closure of some large vaccination centers, Matina Pagoni noted that “something has gone wrong. We failed to reach the target of 80% by the end of August. We need to get people to get vaccinated against coronavirus. We are late in this part. We need to reach out to parents to get their children vaccinated. The goal is to vaccinate 80% of the population for safety. “

He went on to say that the large vaccination centers are empty so it is natural for them to close, so that the health workers who were there can return to their places and fill in any gaps that have been created.

Matina Pagoni suggested that doctors visit schools to vaccinate young children who will have the written permission of their parents.

Regarding the new measures for the focus and the confusion with the children, he estimated that there will be other changes: “I think that several corrections will be made as has happened in other cases”. He noted that it was reasonable to make mistakes, but that the committee should make decisions more quickly.

Finally, he characteristically noted that “many words are poverty” referring to the cases of fake illness and vaccination certificates and stressed that anyone who has committed an illegal act should “go home with short procedures”.
