ARIS PAE announces the acquisition of Greek International Tasos Doni for the next two years.
Tasos Donis was born on August 29, 1996 in Blackburn, England. Upon his arrival in Greece, he competed in a row at the Academies of Larissa, AEK. and Panathinaikos, until in January 2013, Juventus bought him as an investment for the future.
Passing with positive impressions of the Italian teams of the U17 and U19, Doni was ready to take time at men’s level. First a semester lending to Sassuolo and then an annual loan to FC Lugano in the summer of 2015.
In Switzerland he made the first “full” season with 29 goals (8 goals, 7 assists) and the following year the French OGC Nice gave him the opportunity to lead a high level (22 appearances, 5 goals, 2 assists).
In July 2017, VFB Stuttgart released 4 million euros from its funds to acquire it from Juventus. The Greek striker had a very good season at the Bundesliga (47 appearances, 7 goals, 5 assists), and the same summer he debuted with National Greece in a game against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
In September 2019 and with VFB Stuttgart relegated to the second category, Donis searched for his next career station and returned to France, this time on behalf of Stade de Reims.
His first season as a loan was positive, so the French bought him for 4 million euros. After a brief loan to the Dutch VVV-Venlo in February 2021, he moved to Cyprus on behalf of APOEL in the summer of 2022, after 38 appearances with Stade de Reims jersey.
He played a leading role in Cyprus for three seasons, recording 77 appearances (15 goals, 14 assists) with the APOEL jersey in a championship, cup and European competitions.
With the jersey of our representative band, Tasos Donis competed in both U19 and U21. At the men’s level he has recorded 11 appearances and 1 goal against Liechtenstein in March 2023.
From today Tasos Donis belongs to the Mars family.

“I feel happy to return to my country. I come to a large and historical team, such as ARIS and I want to help it with all my strengths.
I think it’s the perfect time to go back to Greece and show that I deserve to be at a high level with Mars.
