Finally in the Greek exception of universities The forthcoming launch of 4 such institutions in our country puts in place, the Deputy Minister said under the prime minister and a government spokesman Paul Marinakis, Assuring that the highest priority of the government is the support of the public university.
‘We lost a lot years and deprived of thousands of Greek students the self -evident right to be able, if they want it, to study in a non -state university, Without having to emigrate from their home country and we finally stopped being a sad exception to the world educational map, “Mr Marinakis emphasized when informing political editors.
“Above all, however, the government and its leadership Ministry of Education, They put the support of the Public University as a top priority. Against those who reproduce stereotypes, distort reality and invest in fixation and stagnation, we respond with data: increase in regular funding, historically high in enhancing student care, new feeding projects, housing, equipment and research, Harvard, Columbia and Yale, “he added.
In detail the introductory position of Mr. Marinakis:
Following is the entire introductory position of the government spokesman in informing political editors:
‘The licensing of four non -state non -profit foreign university branches and specifically of Open Universityhis University of YORKhis University of Keele and his Nicosia It was announced by the Ministry of Education, Religions and Sports, following the consent of the ETHAE and EOPEPP. Specifically, for the parent institutions established in countries outside the European Union, the opinion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was also obtained.
The evaluation process was based on strict specifications set by the ETHAE in terms of quality assurance, the implementation of the academic processes of the parent institution, the adequacy of staffing in academic and administrative/technical personnel, the completeness of their infrastructure and logistics, their services and logistics. Correspondingly, EOPEPP focused on the technical and building specifications of the facilities.
All applications come from well -known universities abroad, and their addition to the Greek academic map only positively has to offer.
The licensing process of these four universities proves that the most stringent criteria were set on the part of the Greek state. This does not mean that universities that have not been licensed now cannot receive in the future if they meet the criteria.
We have lost many years and deprived thousands of Greek students the self -evident right to be able to attend a non -state university, if they want it, without having to migrate from their homeland and finally stopped being a sad exception to the world.
The arrival of the first non -state universities in Greece will add added value to our country as a hub of training, create new jobs, lead to the influx of financial resources and foreign students and contribute to the extroversion of Greek education.
Above all, however, the government and its leadership Ministry of Education, They put the support of the Public University as a top priority. Against those who reproduce stereotypes, distort reality and invest in fixation and stagnation, we respond with data: increase in regular funding, historically high in enhancing student care, new feeding projects, housing, equipment and research, Harvard, Columbia and Yale.
The Minister of Environment and Energy Stavros Papastavrou and the Deputy Minister Nikos Tagaras presented to the Cabinet the new Code of Planning and Planning.
Greece is acquiring for the first time a single and comprehensive “rules guide” for spatial and urban planning. This is a historical intersection, since all the scattered and often obsolete provisions are modernized and concentrated in a modern code.
In this way:
– Engineers, legal and all citizens are now gaining clear rules on construction, arbitrary, land uses, urban renovations, etc.
– Public Administration simplifies procedures,
– Strengthening the security of law and limited arbitrary construction.
The code does not bring new rules; it clearly organizes those that already existed. To date, the rules that regulated spatial and urban planning have been scattered in dozens of laws and provisions, often outdated or contradictory, irrelevant, often in their general object, with spatial and urban planning legislation. The new code brings together all the legislation in a framework, with clear wording and simple language.
The Minister of Rural Development and Food Costas Tsiaras presented to the cabinet the bill on sustainable fishing.
The object of the bill is:
(a) The modification of the institutional framework for the control of fishing and the regulation of aquaculture, amateur fishing and fishing activity,
b) The restructuring and enhancement of the framework for administrative sanctions in the areas of food, health and animal protection and the management of animal by -products and derivative products,
(c) The regulation of issues related to vocational training in the meat sector,
(d) The amendment of the competent authorities for the classification and labeling of the pesticides and their active substances,
e) Supporting the operation and human resources of the services of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food,
(f) Strengthening the institutional framework for the operation of the Hellenic Agricultural Organization – DIMITRA and the Geotechnical Chamber of Greece supervised by the Ministry of Rural Development and Food.
With the legislation of an integrated licensing process of regional television stations, we end an institutional and legal pending years.
Through the bill we are promoting the following is achieved:
1. We put order in the television landscape and at a regional level, as we did for the printed and electronic type, with the operation of the respective registers.
2. We set specific rules and clear conditions, so that the National Television Council can be licensed by the Regional TV stations and for their operation afterwards.
3. We establish a comprehensive licensing process on the basis of modern, transparent, objective and qualitative conditions and evaluation criteria.
4. We abolish the provisions of Law 4339/2015 and cancel the failed auction model, with which only a few could obtain permission.
5. We create the framework to allow the Regional TV stations to be broadcast in high definition (HD) program.
6. We create and secure jobs.
7. We protect the legal and robust television stations from unfair competition.
This is the third bill I have the honor of suggesting within four months for the media area. Our goal is to put in order the landscape of regional channel licensing, which has been unregulated for more than 20 years, in such a way as to protect healthy businesses that adhere to law forecasts, respect their employees and create quality content for the television audience.
Before we get to the questions I would like to express my sincere condolences to the family of journalist Katerina Zacharakis who lost the battle with cancer at the age of 53. “
