The aim of the initiative is to create a third pole of integrated cancer patients, especially for Western Greece, with the donation of Marianna Latsi.
The new unit, with a total area of about 2,500 sqm, will be created within the perimeter of the University Hospital. It is projected to accommodate 30 armchairs and 20 beds for patients’ chemotherapy. A robotic pharmacy will operate on the plant’s premises.
In addition, under its design, the new unit at the University Hospital of Rio will also function as a Center for Research and Excellence for the study of cancer, as well as new types of chemotherapy -and not only.
