In the early hours of the morning, a fire broke out in a supermarket in the village of Vrissa, Lesvos, prompting an immediate alert at the Mytilene Fire Service. Reportedly, the 65 -year -old mother of the store’s owners was inside the building, triggering deep concern about her safety.
9 vehicles with 22 firefighters rushed to the scene, while the Polichnitos Volunteer Forestry Forestry team also assisted in the extinguishing and rescue operations. Firefighters fight with flames, trying to control the front and safely reach the interior of the building.
According to newer information, the fire is reportedly started from the back of the store, probably from storage. At the moment, the external extinguishing operation has been completed, but the agony of the woman’s fate remains intense.
The conditions under which the fire broke out are being investigated, with official announcements expected by the authorities.
