With a fullness that exceeded 90% since the first day of operation, the NYX Hotel Thessaloniki opened its doors on Monday, September 1, a few days before the start of the 89th Thessaloniki International Exhibition.
The new hotel of Leonardo Hotels & Resorts Mediterranean, which has been developing the Fattal Hotels in Greece and Cyprus since 2017, is an investment of 25m euros.
With the exploitation of a building that remained for years untapped at the beginning of Tsimiski, the NYX Hotel Thessaloniki gives a new pulse to the city center. The location option was not accidental: just a few steps from Ladadika, Thessaloniki, with its powerful cultural character, its dynamic academic community and its strategic position as a gateway to the Balkans, is an ideal point for further development of the group. This is the first city in northern Greece where Leonardo Hotels & Resorts Mediterranean invests, acting as an “anchor” for the area and a corporate and leisure demand point.
The NYX Hotel Thessaloniki features 130 rooms and suites, fully equipped with Smart TVs, USB ports and high-speed Wi-Fi, for a comfortable and seamless stay. The public venues include a lounge bar and a restaurant with urban aesthetics, a gym, a business lounge, co-working infrastructure and conference rooms for business and artistic events.
The signature of Tatiana Violari on Interior Design, Street Artist Gera1 works and Kenneth Cobonpue’s flagship creations enhance the hotel’s particular character, offering an experience where hospitality meets art and contemporary urban culture. The hotel manager, Mr. Konstantinos Ioannidis, said: “The NYX Hotel Thessaloniki is a destination in itself with urban design, comfort and experiences. The warm response and bookings, from the first moment, confirm that Thessaloniki was ready for this kind of hospitality.
CEO of Leonardo Hotels & Resorts Mediterranean, Mr. Roni Aloni, said: “With NYX Hotel Thessaloniki we are strategically strengthened our presence in Greece and the Mediterranean. We invest in cities with identity and future. We envision a new relationship between hospitality and urban experience: to create spaces that highlight culture, encourage creativity and support entrepreneurship. Thessaloniki has all the elements to evolve into a reference point in the area and we want the NYX Hotel Thessaloniki to be a symbol of this dynamic. “
The philosophy of the Fattal Group is based on three main pillars: authentic experience, modern design and deep understanding of the modern traveler. Its portfolio includes five separate brands (Leonardo Hotels, Leonardo Royal, Leonardo Boutique, Leonardo Limited Edition and the Lifestyle Brand NYX Hotels) that offer unique experiences in 21 countries and more than 300 hotels in total worldwide.
In Greece and Cyprus, Leonardo Hotels & Resorts Mediterranean has already set up 11 hotels (4 in Greece and 7 in Cyprus), with the aim of reaching 15 by 2026. Each new investment is based on strategic market analysis, respect for local culture and aiming to commit to sustainable development with positive development.
