Derived from an excellent appearance in the qualifying qualifying Lefteris Petrouniasraces tonight in the final of the European Championship gymnasticshosted in Leipzig.
The final will begin at 20:00 (ERT2) and Lefteris Petrounias aims to win the eighth (!) Gold medal in a European Championship. The Greek “lord of the rings” has in his rich collection, three Olympic medals including gold in Rio in Rio, three world titles and the record number of seven European securities.
Opposite it will be found on Friday (30/05), in a row of qualifying, Turkish Adem Asil (14,533 B.), British Courtney Taloch (14,400 B.) and Harry Hepworth (14,400 B.), Armenian Artur Avetisa (14,300 B.) Azeros Nikita Simonov (14,033 B.) and Armenian Vahangn Dadian (13,866 B.). The final will start from a zero basis, without taking into account the qualifying performance.
Based on the draw, the Greek super -champion will execute his 3rd program among the eight finalists and will have the opportunity to grow his legend even further:
With seven European titles in the same race (Montpellier 2015, Bern 2016, Cluj 2017, Glasgow 2018, Basel 2021, Munich 2022, Rimini 2024), unique achievement in the 70 -year history of the institution, with a total of nine medals including two bronze. Qualifications in final rings in his equal membership in European Men’s Championships, Lefteris Petrounias has no longer surpassing himself.
