Her prime minister China Lee Chiang assured today (23.5.2025) that his country will remain committed to the “right direction of globalization” in front of the growing “fragmentation” of the world economy, with the backdrop of the Washington trade war.
“As a responsible country, China remains vigorously on the right side of the story,” having adopted “a true multilateral approach,” Lee Chiang said in a speech during a forum with the head of multinational companies in Beijing.
China “will remain committed to the right direction of economic globalization, exert a truly multilateral approach and try to be a power of stability and certainty,” Mr Lee said, estimating that “the fragmentation of the global economy is being intensified” and “growth”.
Mr Lee was expressed during the annual Forum for China’s economic development, which involved this year’s business leaders, including Apple Managing Director Tim Cook.
Beijing has been trying for several months to stimulate the confidence of both consumers and various economic players and circles, as the second world’s economy continues to face intractable problems, in particular to the continued debt crisis in the real estate sector, with the background of the US.
