Donald Trump caused a domino of developments with the statements he made about the possibility of the USA starting nuclear tests again, after the Vladimir Putin instructed to Russia to restart the same procedures in turn.
Vladimir Putin’s decision caused several reactions in the West, since there is a fear that if countries like Russia and the USA start nuclear tests again, then it is quite possible that an arms race will break out, like during the Cold War.
In this context, Sergey Lavrov stated today (08.11.2025) that the processing is in progress order given by the Russian president to prepare proposals for a possible Russian nuclear testas reported by the Russian news agency TASS.
The same agency quoted Lavrov as saying that Russia has not received confirmation or any clarification from the US government about the controversial statements made by Donald Trump regarding the conduct of nuclear tests.
