THE Lamine Yamal he is one of the top players in the world and – like other famous footballers before him – he seems to be starting to invest the money he makes from the sport. According to a report by “El Pais” and “El Tiempo”, the Barcelona leader has reportedly expressed interest in acquiring a luxury home once owned by Shakira and Gerard Pique, located in one of the most exclusive and discreet neighborhoods of the Barcelona metropolitan area.
“The idea is to turn a family home into the home of a top athlete,” sources close to Lamin Yamal told Catalan media. This house is part of a three-storey complex that the Pique and Shakira couple had acquired before their separation.
The property features an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, gym, wine cellar and recording studio, as well as extensive gardens and high standards of privacy and security.
According to the same sources, Yamal “will enjoy the best security conditions, there will be enough space for his friends to stay with him and there will be a renovated gym so he can extend his working days.”

Located in Esplugues de Llobregat, one of the most private areas in the Barcelona metropolitan zone, the property covers approximately 2,000 square meters.

Although one of the estates was sold in July 2025 by the former Barcelona player and the Colombian singer, they still share two properties with a total estimated value of 11 million euros and a built-up area of 715 square meters.
The complex is close to the Merengues’ training center and several players, including Alejandro Balde and Ronald Araujo, live in the area.
