On the occasion of the deposit Verbal Declaration from Greece to the UNwith which Athens responds to the recent Libyan claims, the President of the Greek solution, Kyriakos Velopoulos, has criticized the government for its stance on national issues. The Greek verbal decoration, filed on August 6, 2025, completely rejects the allegations of Tripoli, who, based on the illegal Turkolibyy Memorandum, questioned the Greek continental shelf and EEZ south of Crete.
Mr Velopoulos, in his statement, commented on the government’s movement in a sophisticated manner, saying: “Now the government remembered to make a verbal deal to the UN for the Libyan barefoot.” He then asked the question of why he did not do a similar action against Turkey, wondering: “What is afraid and swallows Ankara’s challenges?”
At the same time, the president of the Greek solution argued that the problem is not the fear of Turkey, but “the New Democracy and its choices”. He concluded in the harsh phrase that when a country “becomes a carpage of the libuator even from Libya, then you have scratched the bottom of national decline and humiliation.”
