Kyriakos Mitsotakis with coronavirus – The cabinet will be held via teleconference

The prime minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis fell ill with corona virus and so the cabinet meeting that was scheduled for today at 12:00 will take place via video conference.

After yesterday’s celebration of the anniversary of October 28the government would return to everyday life from today as at 12:00 the cabinet with several topics on the agenda. One of them also concerns him OKAY and is, according to information, a necessary prerequisite for Greece to pass the Commission’s veto and for the funds to be released for the payments in the second fortnight of November.

It is reminded that by November 4, our country should have submitted to Commission the new action plan for payments and the cross-checking system for IACS declarations, while in the coming days a “painful” CPA will be issued that will describe the new definition of pasturesbut also specific criteria based on which subsidies will be given. According to people familiar with the matter, the details of the CPA will cause a backlash as it is expected to lead to restricted statements.

Notably, at today’s meeting it is expected that a presentation will be made by Mr. Hatzidakis and the Minister of State Akis Schertso for a new initiative aimed at a state more friendly to citizens and economic activity. According to information, the initiative includes legislative interventions of an inter-ministerial nature, with the aim of improving the citizen-public relationship and eliminating bureaucratic constraints, as well as simplifying administrative procedures through the National Register of Proceedings “MITOS”which acts as a single point of reference for all transactions with the state and in which there are already 4,050 published procedures.

According to the same information, it is planned to use digital tools and artificial intelligence to examine, with the aim of simplifying, 400 MITOS procedures, in the first phase, with criteria such as the frequency of use and the financial burden.
