PASOK Change Press Spokesman Costas Tsoukalas has criticized the New Democracy government, on the occasion of European prosecutor Laura Kovesi’s interview with a interview with Romanian newspaper. According to Mr Tsoukalas’ statement, Mrs Kovesi revealed that some European governments, including Greece, tried to intervene in her work, although these efforts fell into disrepair.
Mr Tsoukalas points out that the government has not denied or commented on this interview. It links the event to the general attitude of the government, whose members and the government spokesman, he argues, “attack daily” in the European Public Prosecutor’s Office and “systematically ignore” its findings.
In conclusion, the PASOK spokesman argues that the “Mitsotakis government has an allergy to justice”.
