For his experience with his cancer talked to King Charlesdescribing the disease “scary”.
King Charles is recalled that he was diagnosed with cancer in February 2024 after three nights at The London Clinic Hospital in Marylbon for an intervention of prostate swelling. The subsequent diagnostic tests identified a form of cancer.
In a personal message prepared for the program of an event attended by advocates of cancer charities and cancer people, Charles stressed the severity of diagnosing 1,000 people a day with cancer.
Speaking about his own feelings he felt when he was included “among these statistics,” he said: “I can guarantee that it can also be an experience that brings to the forefront of mankind.”
The king said, at the beginning of the event: “My wife and I are pleased to host you here tonight to comfort you and reassure you, to celebrate and above all to thank those who offer so much for the 390,000 people who, unfortunately, are unhappy. This means over 1,000 new cases every day. “
“Every diagnosis, every new case, will be a frightening and at times terrifying experience for these people and their loved ones. But as one of these statistical agents, I can guarantee that it can also be an experience that brings to the fore the best of humanity (…)
It has certainly given me an even deeper appreciation for the excellent work undertaken by the notable organizations and the people who gathered here tonight, many of which I have met, visited and supported over the years. And it has reinforced what I have noticed for a long time during these visits – that the darkest moments of the disease can be illuminated by the greatest compassion (…)
While the journey of each patient may be different, together you ensure that the diagnosis of cancer will never mean that we will deal with the future without hope and support. “
King Charles, in addition, paid tribute to those who work at the forefront, saying that their efforts mean that “the diagnosis of cancer never needs to mean that we treat the future without hope and support”.
While noting: “To all researchers seeking innovative discoveries; to health professionals who provide specialized treatment; to volunteers who offer relief or make awareness campaigns;
“Your commitment to early diagnosis, the most successful therapies and in truly holistic care represents the best our country can offer. This collective effort reminds us of what we can achieve when we are united with a common purpose and unusual determination, “he said, concluding

Neither the royal family nor the officials of Buckingham Palace have revealed what kind of cancer the king has, except to say that he is not the protector.
But while palace officials are usually silent about the health of the basilica, they said that the king wanted to encourage men of his age to examine the prostate and limit every guess about his condition.
There are more than 385,000 new cases of cancer in the UK each year, about 1,000 each day.
