King Charles hastened to the hospital due to side effects from treatment for cancer

THE King Charles was admitted to the hospital on Thursday (27/03/2025) after unwanted side effects associated with his treatment for cancerannounced the Buckingham Palace.

King Charles was discharged after a “short period of surveillance” regarding his treatment for cancer, but was forced to cancel a number of obligations to take place in Birmingham on Friday (28/03/2025).

Buckingham Palace said in a statement: “After scheduled and ongoing cancer medical treatment this morning, the king had temporary side effects that required a brief observation period in the hospital.

“As a result, the afternoon obligations of the same majesty were postponed.

“The same majesty has now returned to Clarence House and as a precautionary measure, acting on medical advice, tomorrow’s calendar program will also be rescheduled.

“His greatness would like to send his apology to all those who may be suffering or disappointed as a result.”

The palace has tried to downgrade the severity of the incident, with sources reporting that the continued recovery of the king continues in a positive direction.

Since returning to public duties last Easter, he has continued with a complete program of events, including government visits to Australia and Samoa last October.

The king was diagnosed with an unknown form of cancer last February, after treatment for an expanded prostate and has been undergoing weekly treatment.
