Kilimanjaro: Rolling for 8 Greek travelers – Kenya are hospitalized in Kenya

The holidays at Africa did not go as they were expecting Greek travelers as they were involved in car accident in Kilimanjaro.

Their adventure did not stop there as 6 of the 8 members of the injured group were found in Kenya and were already hospitalized for 11 days in two different hospitals.

The car accident occurred just 10 kilometers before they arrived at Kilimanjaro Airport to return to Greece, when the van carrying them collided with a tractor.

Vehicle drivers disappeared and left the two trapped two injured. They received help from passers -by while some attempted to exploit the situation and looted the things of the injured.

The injured were transported to Nairobi where there were a doctor who could perform the necessary interventions for the two most seriously injured. One injured man has been operated on, and for the second the doctors recommend at least two weeks of immobility to heal fractures in the basin.

Two girls who had not suffered a injury returned to Greece.

Sources from the Foreign Ministry say that the Greek Embassy and the Greek Consulate are informed daily about the health of the two wounded health, who may reportedly be discharged within the next 24 hours.
