“If I quarrel, I’ll get back home in 5 minutes. If all goes well, I will miss the very half hour. ” These are said to have been the last words of 16 -year -old Maya to her relatives, before disappearing on April 23 in a city in northeast Poland, and was found dead a few days later, on May 1, in bushes, next to the railway lines, along with her cellphone. Offender of the murder, as they all show, seem to be A 17 -year -old friend of herwith whom she met before her traces were lost, and was arrested in Katerini.
The thriller for the 16 -year -old Maya family began on April 23 – when she left her home in the afternoon to meet her 17 -year -old killer, and her disappearance was officially declared the following day. Although she had informed her family that she would return within 30 minutes, she never returned to her home and the gap of the disappearance, fell in the worst way.
Earlier in the same day, she had gone shopping with her mother, and she went to pick up a parcel of some clothes she had ordered. At the same time, she had contacted a friend and girlfriend, with whom she had arranged to go to school together. “Nothing showed that he wanted to run out of the house,” said Yacek Kovovsky, the father of the missing teenager in an interview with Kanal Kryminalny Extra.
Around 19:40, the 16 -year -old left her home. She had explained to her mother where she was going, and what time she was planning to return. “She said goodbye to her she explained that she was going to see a friend of her. He told her “if I quarrel with him, I’ll be back in 5 minutes, and if not, in half an hour,” recalls Maya’s cousin. Indeed, surveillance cameras records confirm that the 16 -year -old was going to a predetermined appointment, according to the FAKT newspaper.
After 20:00, Maya tried to contact a girlfriend. “She made several attempts to call her and wrote a message,” her cousin describes. Her girlfriend did not respond when she called her, but attempted to talk to her in the morning, but her cellphone was already inactive.
As the hours went by, so did the anxiety of her relatives. The Maya family has appealed for help through social networks in the early days of its disappearance, but to no avail. The case seems to have been difficult from the beginning, as the 16 -year -old did not get used to her cellphone and always communicated with her parents.
Security cameras, 16 -year -old’s cellphone and 17 -year -old’s family’s timber factory
According to the FAKT newspaper, records from city security cameras were analyzed, among other things, and the areas of Podmiejska, Płońska, Szreńska and neighboring plots were investigated. At the same time, areas of the nearby train station were checked, as well as the routes leading to the southeastern part of Mlava. The 16 -year -old’s body was found a week later, on Thursday (01/05), to the point where the authorities had already been investigated. “Her body was found out, not in a building. He was in bushes near the railway lines, “says Inspector Kathazina Kuharska, a spokesman for the Radom -based Regional Police Directorate.
Her corpse was found near the spot where her phone signal was last found on April 29. What strikes the authorities is that her cellphone was in good shape, even though it was raining in the area in those days. “After the storm in Mlava, theoretically it should have been full of water. But that wasn’t the case. The device was functional, ”the newspaper notes. Indeed, this is a place that is very close to the former timber factory belonging to the 17 -year -old family, with which Maya met the night of her disappearance. He denied he met with her.
“The 16 -year -old’s body was deliberately hiding”
The prosecutor’s office today (02/05) announced that in the death of 16 -year -old Maya, a charity was charged with a very cruel murder of her 17 -year -old friend, while investigators added that her body was “deliberately hidden” by the perpetrator.
“So far, the category has been brought to one person. This is a category of murder with particular cruelty, “said a prosecutor’s spokesman, who confirmed that the victim was aware of the perpetrator, but without revealing the exact relationship between the two minors. “It was found through private and public surveillance cameras that the murder was done by a specific person,” a prosecutor’s office said, adding that this is the undisputed. The 17 -year -old suspect then went on a school trip to Greece as part of a “student exchange”.
The motive of the 17 -year -old killer remains unknown so far. “In a few weeks, the suspect for the murder will return to Poland,” said during a press conference today. The perpetrator will not be tried as an adult, so he cannot be sentenced to life imprisonment. Faces a prison sentence of 15 to 30 years.
The 16 -year -old’s death was probably caught by a head trauma. Its death is scheduled for next week, according to the FAKT newspaper.

He pointed out some directions – as they all seem – fake. On Tuesday, we were in Mlava, with the team of Kanal Kryminalnego Extra. When we started looking for Maya’s phone, we arrived at Bartos G.’s mother, and with her and with her consent – to ownership of their family business. We didn’t notice anything suspicious there, but at some point our woman kicked us off aggressively and tried to grab our camera’s phone. “
Just two hours later, Maya’s phone was found on the railway lines, which had been checked several times earlier – including the girl and the girl’s family. Unofficially, as it is written in the report, the point where the Mayan body was found had also been checked earlier, but then there was no body.
The arrest of the 17 -year -old
On Thursday, May 1st, authorities informed the media that the 16 -year -old was dead, while announcing through the X platform that the 17 -year -old was in Greece, and had issued a European arrest warrant against him.
The search for this person allegedly started at 05:00 in the morning. Many legal actions were taken and, in cooperation with the authorities from Masova and the Central Police Department, cooperation with ELAS began. The proceedings were carried out under the supervision of the Mlava Public Prosecutor’s Office and in cooperation with the PLAK prosecutor’s office.
“Thanks to the dedication of @polskapolicja police officers, it was possible to cooperate with the Greek Police, who arrested the suspect on the basis of the European arrest warrant issued by the Court of Appeal of PLAK,” Masovia Police said.
According to RES-EIA, the 17-year-old is accused of dragging the woman into a carpenter, where she managed to repeatedly hits ax or hammer. He is then accused of burning the woman, throwing an unknown chemical on her body, while throwing the body into a plastic trash.
