We have clashed and will clash with the adversary but this is done politically with arguments without hoods and it is different when the clash is with the forces of repression.
Historically as a leftist and popular movement we have never attacked (not even symbolically) a family. Neither will we. We are leftists and not cannibals, Nazis and fascists.
Voridis is my ideological opponent and he himself has recently said publicly that he would like me and the left-wing people who make up the left (even with our minds) to disappear. Words of panic obviously but they have a logic since we are rivals, but I find it quite phobic I would say and completely flooded with existential anxiety. I feel sorry for him and I understand him. Other than that.
Obviously, Voridis, in his fear, meant to wipe us out politically and not biologically, otherwise he would not be in the ND but in a fascist organization, in the Golden Dawn and something like this does not happen even if he expresses similar views to the fascists such as racism.
That doesn’t give me the right to bully him and his family. Not to mention that I owe it to him from his student days when he was swinging axes around apparently to intimidate communists. These anachronisms become part of a narrative with negative emotions to teach us what to avoid in our youth rather than as present-day hostilities. Mercy.
Intimidation is used by the power, the state and it was done massively by the junta and fascism in Greece by intimidating the opponent and his family and he did it against the democrats, the leftists, the anarchists and anti-authoritarians of this country and some of these people are still alive and tell us orally or in writing the violence and intimidation they suffered for political reasons.
I have been a leftist by conviction and not by inheritance since my childhood and from school until now I have not heard of the left working like this. On the contrary, it is based on opinions, on noble motives, with arguments, with reason and not with hoods, stones and eggs. The star is not ashamed of what she does.
Voridis is my opponent as a member of the ND government and more disliked because he expresses far-right anachronistic views serving an ideology and not the common good basis of equality and freedom.
But even this does not lead me to bullying and a war with collateral victims and even with the safety of anonymity.
I am sure that these people who terrorized the Voridis family feel bold, brave, righteous and above all politicized. Ridiculous. And I’m sure there are cheerleaders who agree with them, applauding vile acts and sentiments and that invalidates their leftist identity. Even more ridiculous.
It is disgusting that they do it in the name of the left and the civilization that we conquered by giving their blood and their lives to people who fought for justice and freedom, serving the left as a way of life with values and indeed in this place where the extreme right and the fascists starred in inhumanity in the name of their ideology.
Shame on what happened and I would ask that we not say that it was done by leftist people because that is not consistent with the left. But if they declare that they are left-wing people then this shows the degeneration and the downward part of the new generation that instead of relying on logic relies on vile emotions turning themselves into infidels who prey on the popular sigh and the left.
