The spokesman of the press Change, Kostas Tsoukalassaid that the Prime minister Today, May 9, 2025, the construction contract of BOAK. He stressed that the eastern edge of the island is abandoned without safe and modern road access.
He concluded by saying that the prime minister was late and forgotten, and that the inhabitants of Crete have drawn their conclusions.

“The Prime Minister today, May 9, 2025, celebrated the construction contract of BOAK. In May 2019, he said in his election speech in Chania that “the northern road axis is the great road of the next government” and that it is a personal commitment that it will extend to its final development throughout Crete, from Kissamos to Sitia.
