Jill Sobule: The singer of “I Kissed A Girl” died in her house at home

Her life at the age of 66 lost her singer Jill SOBULEwho died in a fire in a home in Minneapolis, USA.

The American singer became widely known for the iconic «I Kissed a Girl» the First LGBTQ song that managed to get into Billboard top 20.

John Porter’s manager said: “It was a power of nature, an activist for human rights and her music is now part of our culture. I lost not only a partner, but also a girlfriend. I hope her music and memory inspire others. ”

The 66 -year -old was scheduled to give a concert on Friday (02.05.2025) in her home country, Denver, presenting songs from her autobiographical musical. An open event will take place in her memory.


Two of her biggest hits are the “Supermodel” from the CLUELESE adult comedy and of course “I Kissed A Girl”.

The song again caught attention in 2008 when the Katie Surf She released a different single of her own with the same title.
