Jaguar: New turbo two-liter engine

Jaguar has announced that it will equip its cars with two new gasoline engines. One is a 4-cylinder, 2.0 lt supercharged, which from the summer will replace the 3.0 lt AJV6 “wearing” the Jaguar XF and XJ. It will produce 230 horses, with a maximum torque of 34.0 kgm from 1800 to 4000 rpm and will work with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The second engine is a 3.0lt V6, which will produce either 375 horses with 46.0 kgm of torque (exclusively in the new F-Type), or 340 horses with 45.0 kgm of torque (for the XF and XJ). It will have a start/stop system and will transfer the power to the road, again through an eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine will replace the naturally aspirated 5-litre V8 that powers the XF & XJ.
