Bulldozers uprooted hundreds of trees on Sunday (24.08.2025) in Al Mugayr village, occupied by Israel Palestinian central West Bank.
Journalists from the French News Agency (AFP) found on the central West Bank, also met Israeli soldiers to oversee the destruction of the bulldozers.
Palestinian Abdelatiff Mohammed Abu Aliya, a farmer of this community near Ramallah, said he lost “over 70” olive trees on an area of ten acres. “They uprooted them and leveled them, with false pretexts,” the farmer said, without clarifying who he was referring to.
Aliya said he was already starting to plant his field again, as did other farmers in the area.
An AFP photojournalist saw the land dug in many fields and olive trees on the ground.

Many bulldozers were circulating on the hills around Al Mugayar and one of them brought an Israeli flag. A little further down, military vehicles had been parked.
“The goal is to take control and force people to migrate,” commented Gassan Abu Aliya, the head of a local agricultural cooperative. “This is the beginning and will expand throughout the West Bank,” he predicted.
