Israeli army announced a cessation of operations to get humanitarian aid to Gaza

THE army announced today pause in military operations on a daily basis in designated areas of Gauze and the creation of a safe humanitarian corridors for the United Nations and NGOs to tackle the exacerbated famine crisis.

“This pause will apply from 10.00 to 20.00 (local time and time in Greece), today (Sunday)”starting from the al-Mauasi (south), Deir al-Balah (center) and the city of Gaza (north), where there will be no military operations, according to the Israeli army.

Army added that ‘permanent corridors’ will be created “From 06.00 to 23.00 (local time and time in Greece) to allow the safe passage of UN vehicles and relief organizations that deliver and distribute food and medicines to the population of the Gaza Strip.”

Israeli army clarified that the decision was made in coordination with these organizations, after “discussions on this issue”. The inhabitants of these areas were informed by posting by Arabic -speaking Israeli Army spokesman Avihai Andrai in X.

There has been no direct official reaction from the UN or NGOs active in Gaza, while humanitarian sources, which in private discussions appear cautious, said they were expecting to see the tangible results of the Israeli announcement on the field.
