Israeli bodies hostage Gandhi and Juddich Winnstan Hagaiwere recovered from the Israel During the night of Wednesday (4.6.25), in a special forces of IDF forces in collaboration with the Shin Bet Security Service.
Hamas kidnapped and kept the bodies of the two in Gaza after their assassination on October 7 at Kibutz Nir Oz. Their death was confirmed in December 2023.
The IDF forces carried out the rescue operation under the leadership of the southern administration.
Following a process of identification at the National Center for Forensic Medicine, in collaboration with Israeli police, the IDF staff and missing team informed the Nir Oz family and community.

The 72 -year -old Gandhi and 70 -year -old Judyh had both American nationality, with the 70 -year -old additional to Canadian nationality.
Four children and seven grandchildren left behind.
Winestin Hagai was an English teacher specializing in children with disabilities and worked with stress -suffering children.
She was a poet and a businessman and was committed to work for peace and brotherhood, Kibbutz said when her death was announced.

In a statement, the Israeli prime minister expressed his condolences and assured that “we will not be quiet or silence until all our hostages are returned – the living and the dead”.
