Israel: The videos from the 48-hour hammering on Assad’s weapons in Syria


Footage from the 48-hour bombing campaign against the former Assad regime’s army in Syriahis army posted Israel (IDF), claiming to have destroyed advanced weapons to keep them from falling into the hands of enemy forces, including Hezbollah.

The IDF announced that Israel’s Air Force and Navy carried out more than 350 strikes during the operation, which they called “Bashan Arrow,” after the biblical name for the area in the Golan Heights and southern Syria.

Israel announced that: “It hit most of the stockpiles of strategic weapons in Syria.” The military estimates it has destroyed “70-80% of the Assad regime’s strategic weapons.”

Waves of airstrikes carried out by IAF (air force) fighters and drones hit Syrian air defense systems, air bases, weapons depots and weapons production facilities in Damascus, Homs, Tartus, Lattakia and Palmyra, as reported by the Israeli army.

Airstrikes destroyed many of Assad’s long-range missiles, Scud missiles, cruise missiles, anti-ship missiles, air defense missiles, fighter jets, helicopters, radars, tanks and hangars.

Israeli Navy strikes in Minet el-Beida Bay and the port of Latakia on the Syrian coast destroyed 15 Syrian Navy ships, according to the IDF.

Earlier today, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed that the Israeli Navy had destroyed the Syrian fleet, with footage from Latakia showing damaged and sunk Syrian warships.
