Israel: Started retaliation against Houthi – severe blows in the port of Hondida

The Israel started the air raids against Houthi in response to a ballistic missile launch by its guerrillas Yemen hit by Tel Aviv Airport.

Officials confirm to the Times of Israel that the Israeli Air Force is conducting air raids in the city – Pondida port of Yemen.

Shortly before the Israeli attacks, Houthi media in Yemen reported attacks by the US near the capital, Sanaa.

Reportedly, at least 20 Israeli Air Force fighter aircraft are involved in the attack.

US officials note on the US network Axios that the US is not involved in the attack, but had been informed in advance by Israel.

According to Israeli media, about 50 bombs have fallen and the port of Hondida has suffered serious damage. Among the at least 10 targets of Israeli fighters is a Houthi cement factory.

Israeli defense forces have attacked Yemen several times in the last year, in response to repeated attacks with rockets and unmanned Houthi aircraft against the country.

Shortly after 20:30 (Greek time) the attack was completed, and according to Israeli officials would not be the last air raid, stressing that the next ones are going to be fierce.

Areas controlled by Houthi in Yemen are bombed almost daily since March 15, when the US has launched a campaign of air raids against the rebels in order to force them to stop threatening merchant ships in the Red Sea.

Since November 2023, Houthi have begun to unleash attacks by rockets and drones against Israel and ships – who believe they are linked to Israel, the US and Britain – saying they were acting in solidarity with the Palestinians in the Palestinians.
