After his statements Donald Trumpthat the Iran has repeatedly called for the lifting of US sanctions against the country, the president of the Islamic Republic responded to his American counterpart in a categorical manner.
The leader of Iran, Massoud Pezheskian, said today (07.11.2025) that Tehran seeks peace but will not be forced – meaning by the Trump administration – to give up either its nuclear program or its ballistic missile development program.
“We are willing to hold talks based on international frameworks, but not if they say you cannot have (nuclear) science, or the right to defend yourself (with missiles) or we will bomb you,” Pezeskian said.
Iran has repeatedly rejected negotiations over its defense capabilities, including its missile program and the idea of giving up all uranium enrichment on its soil.
«We want to live in this world in peace and safetybut not to we humble ourselves, and it is not acceptable for them to impose what they want on us and for us to just serve them,” Pezeskian said.
Israel sees Iran as an existential threat. But Iran says so its ballistic missileswhich have a range of up to 2,000 kilometers, is an important one deterrent force and retaliation against USAof Israel and other possible regional objectives.
Iran denies that it is seeking to acquire nuclear weapons.
