A new car accident took place on the morning of Great Thursday (17.04.2025) at Egnatia Street, in the Baldumas Tunnel.
The traffic accident occurred at 08:30 in the morning, in Egnatia on the stream to Ioannina, when a van carrying potatoes, diverted its course and overturned, and the 2 passengers were trapped.
4 rescue vehicles rushed to the spot with 14 firefighters as well as the commander of the 1st Fire Station as well as police forces.
In the end, the two passengers were released and transported with slight injuries to a hospital in the area to receive the necessary care.
Authorities have stopped traffic on the spot as beyond the damaged car, the potatoes carrying the truck have been spilled on the road.
