Investments of over € 140 million in Oinofyta are launched after the signature of the Joint Ministerial Decision (JMC) with which the development was approved Business park Surrounding in the area.
According to the JMD, the business park will be developed on an area of 11,348 acres where they are already operating under the “informal industrial concentration” status, about 300 companies that produce one -third of the country’s industrial GDP (dominant metals, chemicals, storage, food and stationery).
The basic arrangements of the decision provide for the construction of the necessary infrastructure projects (water supply, sewer networks, roads, waste cleaning unit, etc.) and the distribution of the area so that beyond the industrial uses, the end of 968 acres of public spaces, 1212 acres and 68 acres.
The development and management of the Resolution Business Park is assigned by the JMD to the Company of Business Park Development and Management (EADEP) of Oinofya Asopos, which includes businesses and operators in the area.
As EADEP’s CEO Andreas Loukatos points out in RES, the next steps for implementing the project are the preparation of the urban planning study and its approval by the Decentralized Administration, at a time of one year. This study will provide the obligations of land owners for land and money levy to build infrastructure projects.
Along with the urban study, as Mr Loukatos notes, the launch of the construction work of the Waste Cleaning Unit is planned, an investment that has been included in a state aid program by the recovery fund, as part of a grant of approximately 9 million.
According to the financial study developed by funds for funding infrastructure projects, it will be mainly (about 80 %) from money contributions while the rest are equity, loans and the recovery fund.
It is also important that the urban planning will create about 3,637 acres of new industrial land, which – depending on the use – is estimated to be installed 100 – 120 new business activities (and/or existing extensions. It is noted that installation in organized business areas such as Simplified Environmental Licensing Procedure, increased rates of growth from development law, a favorable regime of integration into strategic investment, land security security, better cleaning services, garbage collection and street lighting.
The Basic Settings of the JMD foresee:
- Oinofyta Park is allowed to install every nature business activities of the secondary and tertiary sector except shopping malls. Indicatively: Industry, Crafts, Professional Laboratories, wholesale, Logistics, Warehouses, Research Centers and Laboratories related to applied industrial, energy, mining research, technological support centers, technology support centers, Institutions, Business incubator, Branches, Public Services – Public Benefits, Health Services, Financial Organizations, Waste Cleaning Units, Greenhouses and more.
Infrastructure projects to be implemented in the area include:
- Road construction projects (over 50 km) to improve the connection to the existing local and over -road network (PATHE, PEO Athens – Thessaloniki).
- Waste liquid management projects. They include business connection wells, a network of 75 km long and pumping stations.
- Waste Cleaning Unit (MKA), 7,000m3/day capacity, which will serve the installed businesses. There is a special provision for heavy metals, according to which: “The maximum permitted concentration of heavy metals in the waste -rejected by waste (which will also be reflected in the sewage regulation and will be a prerequisite for connection to the network) will be equal to the ceiling of the care and be burdened at the cost of the required pre-processing before dismissing them to the network. “
- Flood protection projects – rainwater network.
- Water Management and Distribution Projects (replacement of old pipelines, construction of a tank of 8,000 cubic feet, installation of new fire taps). The maximum daily consumption of the park is estimated at 16,350 cubic meters and the water needs of the park will be met by the EYDAP water supply network and the Municipality of Tanagra.
- Water Treatment Unit (MEN) of 14,850 cubic meters.
- Street lighting
- Telecommunications network
Next phase is foreseen the connection of the park to the rail network, the construction of a substation by ADMIE, the construction of Natural Gas Network and the Oinofyta Ring Road.
