In January-February 2025, travel receipts rose 3.9% compared to the corresponding period of 2024 and stood at € 599 million.
This development is due to the increase in revenue from residents of other countries by 16.7%, which stood at EUR 311 million, as proceeds from residents of the European Union countries decreased by 7.3% and stood at EUR 282 million.
More specifically, receipts from residents of the eurozone countries stood at € 241 million, down 2.1%, and revenue from residents of European Union countries outside the euro zone declined by 29.4% and stood at EUR 41 million.
In particular, receipts from Germany decreased by 4.0% and stood at € 61 million, as did France revenue, which declined by 44.9% and stood at € 18 million.
Italy was increased by 37.8%, which stood at € 44 million. Of the other countries, 34.3% rose to the United Kingdom, which stood at € 46 million, while US revenue increased by 51.2% and stood at € 88 million.
In terms of short -term leases, the evolution of the number of accommodation and beds in the first quarter of 2025 shows a continuing increase compared to the corresponding period of 2024, maintaining the dynamics that began in 2023 and was strengthened by 2024.
In January, 213 thousand accommodation was recorded by 23,000 compared to 190 thousand January 2024.
