On the occasion of World Obesity Day, Novo Nordisk Hellas organized an interactive event and awareness event for its employees at its offices.
Dedicated to the effective management of obesity’s disease and recognizing the worrying dimensions it has acquired, Novo Nordisk offered its employees one day full of team action and proper information, evidence that is a prerequisite and basis for approaching a complex disease with multi -dimensions.
Obesity is a serious, chronic disease, with a significant impact on economies and societies and global prevalence, which has more than doubled since 1975. At the same time, it is at the same time a key factor in the development of chronic non -contagious diseases, such as diabetes, stroke and stroke.[1] Since approximately 3.3 billion adults are expected to be affected by 2035 by overweight and obesity, the demand for a multi -faceted and holistic approach to disease management is now urgent.[2]
In this regard, with the organization of the corporate event, Novo Nordisk Hellas informs and sensitizes its employees and at the same time proves that it keeps its commitment to meet the urgent need to act together and speak openly about our health.
The event attracted the interest and participation of the company employees, who have been actively involved in all the events and discussions.
A common conclusion of all speeches was that reliable information, holistic approach and the development of innovative therapeutic options constitute a beam of tools that act as a protection shield against obesity disease.

A special moment of the event was the confession of renowned artist Dimitris Starova, who, accompanied by his partner and carer, Anna Stathakis, moved by talking about his own experience with his obesity and adventure. In particular, he particularly emphasized the need for timely support from a healthcare professional, without guilt or delays as well as the importance of framing the patient’s social and personal environment.
Anna Stathakis, for her part, stood in how obesity’s disease affects those in the patient’s immediate family environment, as they also seek solutions to effectively support their own man.

The event was also attended by the beloved artist Yiannis Zouganelis, who talked about Dimitris Starova before and after his health adventure. The two artists link a long -standing friendly and professional relationship, emphasized by Yiannis Zouganelis in his speech. Throughout his adventure and the subsequent route for the management of the disease, Yiannis Zouganelis pointed out that both he and all the faces of their friendly environment stood by Dimitris Starova with love, acceptance and open thought.
Upon completion of the lectures, Novo Nordisk employees had the opportunity to participate in an informative and entertaining knowledge game: they engaged in a “battle” of questions where everyone was real winners, having acquired new knowledge on a global impact.
