The change of weather made its presence felt since Saturday afternoon (30/08), affecting northwestern Greece with intense winds, storms and hailstormscausing serious problems in many areas.
Problems in Kozani
In Ptolemais and the wider area of Kozani, strong winds caused tree falls and damage to roads and infrastructure.

Torrential rain in Corfu
The bad weather “hit” Corfu, resulting in:

Ioannina: Create Scene of Concert
In Ioannina, the strong winds demolished the scene set up in the lakeside for the concert of Anna Vissi, Antonis Remos and Christos Mastoras. The technicians were forced to disassemble the constructions while the concert was canceled.
Extraordinary Weather Determination Bulletin
The National Meteorological Service (NMS) issued Extraordinary Weather Determination Bulletin (EDEK)warning of heavy rains and thunderstorms, accompanied by hailstorms, until the early morning hours of Sunday (31/08) in Corfu, Paxos and Epirus.
The General Secretariat for Civil Protection has raised the competent authorities and calls on citizens to take self -protection measures, avoiding:
