The only survivor of his crash plane of Air India last week, helped his brother’s burial at a funeral in the west Indiaheld today (18.06.2025).
Visuasuaskumar Rames’ brother, the only passenger who came out alive from the fall of Air India plane, Adjai, was also on the unfortunate flight, but did not survive the tragedy. His funeral was held in India, in a climate of deep emotion.
Rames, obviously sad, was one of the men who carried his brother’s coffin in the crematorium in Diou, with his hand and face still covered with white bandages, having spent most of the last five days in the hospital.
The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner to London crashed seconds after taking off on Thursday from the city of Ahmedabad, western India. At least 270 people were killed, most of whom were passengers.
Several people from the city – who lost 14 other people in the accident – attended the funeral, even when the rain was hit by the procession.

The 40 -year -old Viswaskumar Romes was in the 11A of the flight. His brother is reported to be sitting some places farther.
All the other passengers and the crew were killed and nearly 30 people also died on the ground, after the plane fell on lightning and crashed into a medical hostel.
The cause of the crash is not yet known. Officials are trying to decode the pilot’s voice and flight recorders – collectively known as the black box – recovered from the debris to understand what happened.
