A big police operation was planned and executed by the Southeastern Attica Police Department yesterday morning (11-12-2025) in a settlement at Koropiwith the aim of combating delinquency in the area.
The operation was coordinated and took part strong forces, including police officers of the Security, the O.P.K.E.of the Traffic, even an expert police dog.
During the investigation, the authorities discovered an incredible method of theft. The residents had set up a whole illegal water supply network for the settlement. In particular, they had “punctured” the provision intended for the watering the plants to highway and, using plastic pipes and hoses, they led the water illegally to their homes.
Overall, the police proceeded to 8 arrests. The case files that were filed do not only concern her water theftbut where applicable also include categories for electricity theft and environmental pollution.
All eight arrested persons were taken to the competent court Prosecution Authority.
