The first invoices current that enables the ability to consumer It benefits directly from the low or zero power values in the wholesale market when there is overproduction of current from renewable sources, that is, usually at noon hours, they appear on the market.
These are products initially aimed at consumers with a “night” or “smart” meter, which are expected to multiply the next period as the installation of smart cash on the network proceeds and the institutional framework is completed that will govern the so -called “dynamic” invoices. That is, invoices with different charges per belt or per hour of 24 hours.
Recently PPC announced the Myhome Entertwo, which is aimed at customers with a bimonic meter (the old “night”). The price is 0.145euro in the normal billing zone and 0.095euro in the reduced debt zone for 2 years while the schedule for normal and reduced charge has been determined by ministerial decision as follows:
- For the summer season (April to October) 11am – 3 pm and 2 am – 4 am
- For the winter season (from November to March) 12 pm and 2 am – 5 am
Last week, Iron announced Happy Hour for customers with a smart meter that provides zero charge for three hours each day. The three -hour change varies according to the conditions of the wholesale market (eg can be from 10am to 1pm or from 1 pm to 4 pm). During the rest of the 24 hours the price changes per hour, also following the fluctuations of the wholesale market. Last Tuesday, for example, the price of a kilowatt -hour ranged from 0.16 to 0.273 euros per kilowatt hour.
The advantage for those who choose these products is that they can reduce the cost of electricity as long as they carry their consumption (eg cooking, washing, ironing, electric water heater, electric car charging) during low or zero billing hours.
According to DEDDIE’s programming, the installation of smart cash on all consumers will be completed in 2030.
