In Tirana for EU investment forum, the Secretary General of the NSRF, Vassiliki Pantelopoulou

The Ministry of Finance was represented by the Secretary General NSRFVasiliki Pantelopoulou, in the forum Investment of the European Union (EU), held in Tirana on 13-14 October 2025.

The launch of the forum investment in which the NSRF Secretary-General participated was held by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama while also participating in high-ranking government officials from the Six Western Balkans (WB6: Montenegro, Northern Macedonia and Serbia) and the European Commission.

The forum organized with the support of the European Commission and the Albanian Investment Development Organization (AIDA) has been a milestone dialogue to enhance economic cooperation, attract foreign direct investment and promote innovation in the Western Balkans.

The forum signed important memorandums of cooperation and investment commitments, while confirming the decisive role of cooperation between the European Union and the Western Balkans in the process of a more competitive and cohesive European economy, offering European business opportunities.

The NSRF Secretary -General Vasiliki Pantelopoulou said: “Strengthening the cooperation between the European Union and the Western Balkans is a crucial step in shaping a common development vision based on innovation, sustainability and social cohesion. Greece, using its experience since decades of participation in the European Union, can contribute substantially as a regional development model for the Western Balkans, which today have the strategic opportunity to form a competitive and sustainable investment ecosystem on Europe’s most dynamic investment border. “
