A complete financial toolbox of EU In order to make the “wall” on the east side against Russian drones, the Commission is preparing, according to Community Commissioner. defenseAndrew button, on Friday, September 26th, after a meeting with the defense ministry on the side.
Ministers of Defense from EU frontline countries, Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Romania, attended the meeting, along with two other EU Member States on the East side, Hungary and Slovakia. At a separate meeting, Ukrainian Defense Minister Dennis Smichal shared valuable, tested in battle, experience, with NATO as an observer.

At today’s meeting, we have agreed to move on to the idea of specific actions, he said.
We agreed to the most important point and this is that the Eastern side surveillance, with the “Drones Wall” as its core, will serve all of Europe.
Together with our partners at the front line and the invaluable experience of Ukraine, we came up with a common understanding of his design:
- A “Wall of Drone” of direct priority, with advanced detection, monitoring and interception features.
- Ground defenses, such as anti-mobility systems.
- Maritime Security for the Baltic and Black Sea.
- Awareness of the situation based on space.
The next steps are clear, according to what the button said:
- I will secure a political attraction ahead of the October European Council.
- We will designate a detailed technical road map with national experts.
- We will mobilize Europe’s defense industry,
- We will create an integrated EU financial toolbox to make this shield a reality.
