He assured, however, that Qatar would not leave its mediating role in the diplomatic effort aimed at ending the war in the Gaza Strip.

The leadership of the armed Palestinian organization survived the attack, but confirms that six people were killed, including the son of Hamas’ leader, Halil al-Haya.
Al-Haya is the exiled leader of Hamas in Gaza and a leading negotiator, who is considered an important personality of the organization abroad.

After the attack, Trump also spoke with the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahuwho told him he wants to become peace quickly.

Israeli blow to Doha is the first attack on Qatar’s time
The Emirates in the Gulf has been a British protectorate since 1916 and became independent in 1971, joining the Arab League and the United Nations that same year.
While Qatar’s troops participated in the Gulf War in 1990 – 1991, when Iraq invaded Kuwait, the Emirates did not attack.
The country hosts the largest US military base in the Middle East. Al Udeid air base hosts the US Central Administration’s Regional Headquarters and coordinates the development in Syria and Iraq.
By 2033, the base is expected to provide housing for 15,000 troops and auxiliary staff.
Iran launched an attack on the base in June in response to the bombing of its nuclear facilities by US forces, but Qatar’s air defense intercepted the attack. There were no casualties.
While Qatar and other Gulf states are generally considered safe, terrorist attacks have occurred there. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have witnessed attacks by Houthi militia, based in Yemen in oil installations and political goals.
