In Egypt is the president of the Democracy Movement, Stefanos Kasselakisby visiting the Sinai. The purpose of the visit is to immediately inform the situation in the historic monastic center and what has been seen in the light of publicity lately.
In his statements to the Alpha television station, while in Sinai, Mr Kasselakis pointed out the need for complete transparency around the talks of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis with Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.
“There is justified concern in Greek society as to whether the government is telling the whole truth. It is necessary to immediately release all relevant documents from both the Greek and the Egyptian side. The Greek people have the right to know exactly what was discussed and what was agreed, “he said. The Democracy Movement monitors developments with seriousness and will be institutionally and documented as soon as the president’s mission to Sinai is completed.
