The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport was put into public consultation by the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Konstantinos Kyranakithe draft law on upgrading the security of railway.
The draft law attempts roying incisions in the Greek railway model modelsafety valves for train circulation, but also strict assessment for staff.

According to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport:
The purpose of the present is:
a) Upgrading the level of safety of railwaysthe improvement of their quality control mechanisms and ensuring the effective and universal supervision of the entire rail network,
b) Ensuring the substantive assessment of staff which performs critical safety duties on the Greek railway and
c) Providing functional and operational flexibility to the new National Railway Body Under the name “Railways of Greece, a single -person public limited company” (hereinafter: “Greece Railways”), in order to ensure the necessary effectiveness in its operation, in particular in terms of completing rail safety projects and making it.
Object herein is:
a) the Creating new security structures For the operation of the railway, with the addition of security valves through:
(aa) The establishment and operation of the Single Center for Supervision of the Greek Railways,
ab) Creation of a single application “railway.gov.gr” with individual applications
-the digital rail data register,
-the system of precise train geotoism,
— the application of commands and violations,
b) the More effective training and assessment of staff of the railways, as well as the tightening of the ratification framework through:
(b) of the introduction of tests, both before and after the recruitment of executives, to evaluate their ability to perform critical duties,
(bb) of developing partnerships with the armed forces to assess the suitability of security personnel,

n) of the establishment of a Special Railway Inspector Unit,
b.) Expanding access to installations and training services of the staff of the railway businesses and the infrastructure manager,
(b) of expanding the ability to certify bodies responsible for certification organizations,
c) the organizational reinforcement of the Railway Regulatory Authority (RAS) and the National Air and Railway and Transport Security Agency (EODASAM), as critical bodies for the safe operation of the railways, the prevention of accidents, and the prevention of accidents, and the prevention of accidents,
