In the morning, Costas Karamanlis and his accompaniment were churched during the Divine Liturgy at the Metropolitan Church of Our Lady, in the capital of the island. The Ecumenical Patriarch attended, along with the Metropolitan of Imbros and Tenedos, Mr. Cyril and in the end he welcomed the visitors.
They then visited the adjacent metropolitan house and then the village of Patriarchi, the Saint Theodore. There, Mr. Bartholomew toured them in his stone -built village, and in particular to the small Museum of “Patriarch Bartholomew”, dedicated to his life and patriarchal ministry, his adjacent father -in -law and his nearby café.
They also worshiped at the Church of St. George and visited the Community Cemetery and the Primary School, which is to be restored.
