The “black” list of debtors’ names that owe more than 150,000 euros and have not arranged tax and insurance debts them (either by paying a lump sum, or by entering the arrangement) will be published today by Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE) Together with KEAO (EFKA).
The tax administration is entering a more decisive phase, focusing on the bigliters who collect most of the country’s total arrears. AADE has intensified the pressure and repayment pressures, while at the same time continuing the process of auctioning assets, including apartments, businesses, plots, factories and hotels.
The goal is to pay those who have the opportunity but remain inconsistent with their tax liabilities.
Debtors with debts of up to EUR 150,000 were up to Friday, June 27, to settle their debts either by one -off repayment or by regulation. Those who have not complied will see their name publicized along with those who owe higher amounts.
It is estimated that about 28,000 natural persons and businesses will be included in the new list. Although only 1% of total debtors make up, they account for 90% of total arrears, exceeding € 160 billion. AADE aims to collect over 6 billion euros in 2025 from these debts, through ambitious and targeted targets.
Where do the debts come from
The latest official figures of AADE record overdue debt to the State exceeding EUR 110.8 billion. Over 2.23 million taxpayers are delayed, facing the risk of seizure of bank accounts and assets. In addition, significant amounts remain outstanding in both customs administration and insurance funds.
Collective goals for 2025
AADE has set specific goals for the current year:
- Collection of at least 3 billion euros from old arrears.
- Over 700 million euros from big debtors, through targeted actions.
- At least 28 million euros from debts to the Customs Administration.
- 33% collection in new arrears. Who will be included in the list of large -by -teams have already been sent alerts to those who owe more than 150,000 euros, inviting them to settle or repay their debts by Friday, June 27th. Those who do not respond will be included in the list posted on the official AADE website.
Will be included:
- Natural persons with basic arrears to the tax office of more than 150,000 euros, delayed more than one year.
- Natural or legal persons with a basic arrears to EFKA, also more than EUR 150,000 and overdue over the year.
What will be made public
For natural persons:
- Tax Registry Number (VAT)
- Name and surname
- Amount of basic debt
- Total amount of debts to public, insurance funds and more.
For legal entities:
- VAT, name, head address
- Amount of basic and total debt
- Observations where there are
Publication is a strict measure of pressure and at the same time a powerful transparency tool. AADE sends a clear message: The tolerance period for large debts has expired.
Those who do not regulate their obligations will be faced not only by public report but also with the next stages of forced collection.
The continuation of the auctions of real estate demonstrates the intention of the Authority to use any legal means to collect public revenue.
The message is clear: either adjustment and payment or auctions and seizures. At the same time, smaller debtors – with debts below 150,000 euros – are called upon to comply, as they are not outside the framework of compulsory collection measures
