Two arrests were made by the executives of the Central Port Authority Igoumenitsa to obstruct the departure of a dolika of the Alkinoos passenger ship, operating a scheduled route with 295 passengers.

The crew asked the Dalika driver to go out to continue loading the other vehicles that had a ticket, but he refused and locked in the truck’s cab, claiming health reasons.

His apathy caused the delay of sailing by one hour and thirty -eight minutes. The truck was finally unloaded with the help of another professional driver and moved to a safe place.

The truck had been loaded on the ship by a 63 -year -old driver, who during the incident felt unwell and was taken to the Igoumenitsa TEP and then at Filiates Hospital for hospitalization, as thespro.gr notes.

After leaving the hospital he was arrested.
