The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Israel (IDF), Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, acknowledged that the “land forces” acted in Iran during the 12 -day war between the two countries.
Welcome to the successes of the IDFs, Zamir said it was the result of the action of “our air forces and the land special forces”, adding that the Commandos of Israel “have secretly acted in the heart of enemy territory in Iran and gave us full business”.
Eyal Zamir is the first to state publicly that Israeli soldiers were involved in the Iran war and were in the territory of Iran.
The Chief of Staff: “After twelve days of unprecedented fighting – the IDF acted at its best and stood fully and in the objectives of the operation.

In the videotaped message released by the army, Zamir also states that, although this operation is over, “the campaign is not yet completed, we must be vigilant” as “many challenges are awaiting us”.
Zamir also reiterated that the Iranian nuclear program was hit hard, which resulted in a “years back”.
